What is the base used on CZ 550's? Does anything aside from CZ or BRNO rings fit onto that dovetail? Any suggestions for rings for an American for a 40mm scope?

I have Warne rings on my BRNO Model 2's dovetail. They make them for 550's also. My 'smith stocks them so I have never had to go through the hassle of trying to find the right height straight off the bat. The chart on their web site does include the spec's for the height, though.

I believe its a 19mm dovetail, machined into the square bridge reciever with a spot for a locating lug. There are aftermarket rings available, I'm using the lynx ones and cz's

Warne, Leupold, Lynx (both with bases and rings by themselves), BRNO, CZ, (both with bases and by themselves) and a couple of others that I cant remember right now

I have the fixed Warne med ht, matte rings. They fit the integral dovetails that are machined on the Brno receiver. I really like them. Very well made.
I have a buddy that had a screw snap on the same rings, but I think that wouldn't happen too often.

I use Warne QD rings. A little on the heavy side, but solid.

I just got a set of NIB Warne 30mm Med QDs from a fellow in the States at a price I couldn't turn down.

Any idea what scope would be suitable for these rings on a 602? I may just sell them or trade for 1".

With so many scope companies making 30mm tubes, you would be hard pressed to find one that didn't work. What calibre is that 602? You may want to sell the Warnes to me with the rifle. Less headache for you regarding scope selection........... Just looking out for your best interest SC ;)

What kind of scope is a pecker???

Pecar, It's a German scope. Now out of business. They were noted as having removable and interchange able reticles. They were sold mostly in Europe , the UK, Australia, and NZ. A few are here and in the US. The Lee Enfield Enforcer used a Pecar scope on it.

Anyone know of a Canadian supplier who stocks Warne QD's for CZ550? I'm looking to replace my extra-highs with medium height rings.

Sorry for the hijack but it seems a logical (albeit self-serving) post for this thread topic.

No problem. This is exactly the kind of information I'm after. What's out there, and where to get it.

Like I said, my 'smith carries them: armurier-gunsmith dot com. He's from France and his English is a little rough, though.
