CZ 557 scope mounting.

I am completely unfamiliar with this rifle but really like the looks of it with the short 20" bbl and its in a great very versatile 30-06 caliber.

The seller says its got a 19mm dovetail for rings but am lost as to what I actually need in order to properly mount a 1" tube scope with a 40mm objective lens.

Any help with pictures and links to stocking dealers would be greatly appreciated

...so its a giant dovetail like a rimfire ring on steroids.

Not sure I like that.

Seems like it will damage the metal work.

The test of time says otherwise. BRNO 21/22, ZG47, zkk 600, CZ550 all have the 19mm dovetail design and we have many old examples of older rifles with the metal in great shape.
