Just picked up this CZ630 break action .177 fairly cheap, $20 to be exact.

Cleaned it up, a little TLC and put a cheap scope on it and it works quite well for a gun that was sitting in a corner of a barn for years.

Would be nice if it had the original front sight but for the price I got it for I think it's good.

Any comments about the CZ630 and it's value?

Thanks.

No expert here, but I just boought a new 634 at WSS for $239. They had 631? (I think) for $209. I don't know much about their airguns, but they make quality firearms. I suppose it depends on the condition of yours and what percent of the value of new you feel it's worth.

They still sell the 631? My understanding is that the 631 is a fancier version of the 630 with an adjustable rear sight, butt plate and different trigger guard. I thought CZ now only makes the ultra fancy, high powered 200 now? I don't even see CZ/Slavia 630, 631 or 634 listed anywhere on WSS's or Cabelas' websites.

Looks great, nice job. Definitely worth more than you paid.

Thanks. It was a quick fix up without going crazy with restoring it since it still works well.

Full powered PAL version does just under 600fps.They should be stripped down and lubed as they come from the factory darned near dry and sometimes seal damage as a result.I shoot gophers and grouse with mine.Relaxed a few crows as well.Harold

Mine could be old stock. I often find things at WSS in Wpg that aren't in the catalogue or internet. They didn't have much selection of airguns. I didn't like the 631 as much, it had a checkered forend, and slightly longer barrel than mine. Sounds like I should take mine apart and oil it. Thanks for the heads up mbogo3

great air rifle at a great price. keep it lubed and it will last for darn near forever. the slavia is a work horse and is still made, they are not shipped to north america due to the cheap chinese versions pushing out the higher dollar higher quality air rifles - straight from CZ.
