Help!

How do I get out the retaining pin? I looked up multiple videos online and thought I was good to go with a brass punch but the punch snapped...I got another one and it snapped...tried a steel one and it bent...so how hard do I have to hit this pin to get it out? Would a "nail setter" be a good tool to start it moving? Super stupid question...the pin can be punched from either side right? I saw one video from each side but now I'm really not sure.

Any direction would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Can come out either way but easier from top of slide.less chance to peen slide.
If it's like a regular cz75b.
Make sure the slide is resting a solid surface like a block of wood or a disassembly block.
Try some penetrating oil liberally sprayed in all the holes including firing pin hole etc.
Use a large enough hammer and strike once each time checking to make sure punch has not moved off the pin.

Are you using the correct size punch? Should be pretty easy.
You need a 1/8” punch for those. Smaller punch won’t do it as you may be punching into the roll pin and spreading it before it moves. I punch those from the right side out towards the left out of habit, but I don’t think it matters as those roll pins aren’t tapered.
Use a solid surface for support.

On earlier model CZ75 they use a nested pin and that takes a 1/16” punch.
