Just a quick post. I have an SP-01 Shadow and love it. I just can't get over how damned ugly it is with that rail and FLDC.

Has anyone seen any of the plain CZ-75 Shadows kicking around? They seem a very uncommon breed.

I'm mostly looking outside of MB, to save on the extra 8% tax

Jo-Brooks lists the non-SP-01 Shadow, looks like it's on sale for $819, good price.

I prefer the non full length dust cover myself as well.

I can't tell how ugly the FLDC is when I'm sighting along the top and making neat tidy groups at the other end where the bullets hit..... :d

As it happens I tripped over an older pre-b model 75. And yes, I do agree that the gun looks a little more svelte and attractive.

There's also the CZ-85 Combat which has the same non FPB setup as the Shadow so the trigger feels the same. That may be an option to look into.

The 75b's show up fairly regularly with the sponsoring dealers. Check over the links at the top of the page. And if they don't have any at present if they list any CZ models at all then they can get the plain jane 75b's at your request.

Ta. I let a good friend talk me down from the ledge of insanity that overlooks penury and I'll be keeping my sp01.

I do like the muzzle of soot that it accumulates, in truth. ;)

What I WOULD like for it is a shorter slide stop, but I'm guessing that comes from one of the U.S. Dealers?
