I am a little confused and could use some help. I am not familiar with the CZ line of pistols, but it looks like the
CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow is the most sought after model (the best)? I am coming from a 1911 background and like SAO triggers and was wondering if any of you CZ users have used them? According to the CZUSA website, they make a SAO CZ75, but nobody seems to talk about them? Any advice for the "best" CZ model with a SAO trigger? It won't be used for competition use.

SAO is a recent upgrade cz USA introduced. When it was released a while ago it was USA only, and I suspect that to still be the fact. Dlask may be able to get you one. At that point it can be installed on a pistol, so it can be any in the 75 series to my knowledge

There is 75B SA in 9mm and .40s&w, they are very decent guns.
I had one in 9mm till recently as I sold it. I shot IDPA ESP with it but now Shadow can be used as they changed weight requirement.

CZC SAO trigger allows to adjust pre- and over- travel but reset is still longish as FPB is in the way. If one removes FPB then trigger is excellent, but you cannot use it that way in competitive shooting as safety features cannot be removed by rules. In Standard/Limited/Limited 10 Divisions it'd not be very competitive gun as one would shoot Minor with 9mm one and .40 would be a little recoil heavy for it to be competitive.

One can convert Shadow to SAO and it'd be a better shooter than 75B SA. Or get Tactical Sport in .40.

Thank you for your input. Overall, it looks like the conventional DA/SA would be the best way to go. Everyone seems to say that
the SP-01 trigger works great already.
