Something must be happening on the wholesale/import side of the SP-01 pistol business.

Two retailers recently held sales on the SP-01 Shadow - Al Flaherty's and Wolverine.

Now I just noticed that Ellwood Epps dropped the price on the SP-01 Shadow Mate Canadian edition.

I'm holding out for the SP-01 Shadow Line. Hope to see them in Canada soon - the money is burning a hole in my pocket. :HFU:

The Canadian dollar is up a fair bit against the Euro. Maybe new stock arriving is going to be cheaper? With the strong US dollar expected to drive up prices of US guns it might be a good opportunity for some of the European makers to grab some market share.

I was thinking of popping in on Sat and possibly buying a Canadian Ed

Is this the one your waiting for?

I bought my SP-01 shadowline at Dante sports in Montréal. I think they have some in stock. Give them a call.

The "CZ-75B Shadow Line" is a very nice gun. I'm hoping for the "CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Line": http://www.czub.cz/en/catalog/79-pistols-cz/PST/CZ_75_SP-01_SHADOW_LINE.aspx

Have you seen any new in Canada?

What makes the shadow line special compared to a regular CZ of the same model?

I believe the only one I shot before was a standard 75B

And now I want to buy a more competition focused pistol in 9mm, I have a holster course for my range on the 13/14 and then I plan to try and take a black badge in the spring/summer. Currently I only own Glocks, but I have shot the CZ 75B and I have also shot a Tanfoglio Xtreme II. The Tanfoglio put a little bigger smile on my face when I shot it, but its almost double the price. So now I am trying to decide if I should get the CZ Canadian Ed, or just hold out and buy the Tanfoglio because I liked it more. Although I might just get the CZ because I need to add one to my collection one day anyways, and its a great looking pistol IMO with the not too flashy Canadian ed bits...

I got my SP01 Shadow Line from CRAFM for a great price a year and half back. I remember hearing the Shadow Lines were supposed to have a 13# main spring set up for lower weight DA trigger pull, but that wasn't true with mine. It did come with the slim safety, slim grips, comp hammer and full length steel guide rod.

I didn't know Dante Sports existed. I should start looking beyond the CGN sponsors!
Dante's website shows the regular SP-01 Shadow in stock selling for $877.00. They list the SP-01 Shadow Line for $1,077.00 but it is noted as "Temporary Out of Stock." Will keep my eye on them.

JohnnyP636, I didn't see much value in the Canadian edition.

this is a good description:
The Shadow package of competition features including the fixed Shadow rear and fiber optic front sight. As with all Shadow models, the action (DA/SA) and trigger have been tuned up for competition.
The Shadow series of handguns are designed specifically for target and competition work. They include variations of the CZ 75 and SP-01. All Shadow models feature swept hi-rise beavertail frames and slides designed without firing pin blocks for improved target trigger pull.
The Shadow models carried by CZ-USA are assembled in Mesa Arizona by World Champion Angus Hobdell’s CZ Custom Shop. Competition treatment on all CZ Custom models includes a competition hammer and a trigger job that breaks cleanly at 3.5-4 lbs in SA mode and 7.0-7.8 lbs for DA mode (for DA/SA models) as well as the following:
•Extended magazine release
•Drop free magazine break
•Custom reduced weight springs
•Trigger with overtravel adjustment screw
•Ambidextrous Shadow Extended Manual Safety.
•Two, 10+1 capacity extended base magazines
