Hey guys,

Need some help/recommendations.

The rear sight on my Shadow does not want to stay put. After initially setting up the sight, tightening the set screw...going thru maybe 200 or so rounds later, I've noticed the rear sight drifting. I can't get it to move without undoing the screw. Anyhow it's happened several more time and it appears I've stripped the allen head of the set screw.

Does anyone know the exact size of the set screw?
Someone has suggested to loctite the entire rear sight?
Any recommendation for a replacement rear sight?

This is my first and currently only pistol used mainly for target practice and IPSC production.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

had the same prob , bore & tap o/s to a common screw. once sighted , back out the screw , a drop of blue loctite in the hole & retighten. worked great for me.

Same thing happened on my Shadow; threads were stripped. I removed the sight and filled in the back with plastic steel. I then had a local gunsmith drill & tap a hole one size larger. Sight hasn't moved since.

Okay, re-tapping with a larger screw and blue loctite sounds like it will work and is a pretty straight forward job for someone to do.
Thanks for the idea :) ...cheers!
