My 9mm CZ 75 SP01 shoots low, about 6 inches at 25 feet. Im using 115 gr copper plated bullet. Also using 4.5 gr of Titegroup. The groupings are real close together. Any ideas on how to fix this problem. Gun has 1000 rounds through it.

Switch to 125's and it'll likely be fine. Also from a check of my Lyman reloading book you're at the max load for 115's. The extra velocity is going to have the bullets leaving the muzzle earlier in the recoil cycle. Drop your load to more like 4.2 to 4.3 gns and that'll lift up your POA as well.

Try supported position and see if its shooting low, sounds more like your technique than the gun.

Try dry fire and see if you keep on sight, you might be flinching?

Quite a few Shadows shoot high out of the box. Mine does. I haven't heard of them shooting low though. If you have good groups then (probably) you aren't flinching. However, I would try shooting off a bench rest to find out for sure.

The Shadow comes with 5.5mm front sight. There are replacement 6.5, 7.0, and 7.5mm sights available at czcustom, all of which would correct the 'shooting high' problem. To bring the shots up, you could use an adjustable rear, but that requires machining the dovetail, thus making it non-legit for IPSC - but I don't know if this would be a concern to you.

CZ SP-01's LOVE 147gr ammunition, get some Winchester Winclean and compare them directly.

I just did a mag to mag 115 to 147 grain comparison at the range last week with an SP-01.

If the gun is truly shooting low can you not just file down the front sight to bring the POI higher.. Take off 0.5 mm from the front sight and it should correct the problem...

The big advantage of handloading is the ability to experiement.

I suggest you buy soem 125 gr and 135 and 147 gr bullets (I use DRG cast bullets) and make 4 loads of each, starting at the start loads, and in 0.3 gr incrments. Find out what shoots the best group. The best will be half the size of the worst.

I have yet to find 115 is the best bullet. I have quite a few 9mm pistols.

Only after you have that load, worry about where the group is. A higher or lower front sight will complete the excercise.

not possible with the shadow as it has a FO front sight it would have to be replaced.

6" low @ 25' is operator error, 1 or 2 @ 3/5yds is likely if it's zeroed @ 25. shadows all seem to shoot high out of the box, mine was 2" @ 25yds, useing drg 135 x 231 @ 4.0, tg @ 3.4.

Good spotting nada. I guess I took it to be 25 yards.

Yep, at 25 feet there's either something very broken on that gun or it's operator error with the grip or perhaps a consistent flinch.
