hi guys, have an austin behlert's hammer and sear set. trigger pull is to become crisp, clean and 2.25 - 2.5 lb pull. trigger is good now but a little heavy. what are advantages/disadvantages to doing the work on the trigger. is it possible for me, who knows little, or done by a gunsmith?

I too have a 75 and am wondering what is involved in a trigger job. Is there a website that gives detailed info on what a trigger job is in general?

I have assembled a basket CZ75. There is not much you can do to the trigger except buff all of the surfaces and make sure there is no interfearence with the frame or bent parts when you assemble it.
On these guns a little lubrication with light oil goes a long way.
The trigger can be improved but the one I worked on only took a cleaning, buffing, assembly and lube to make it nice.

You're not going to like this, but there is no quickie youtube vid for this.
Trigger jobs on CZ 75 require the skill of someone who has done trigger jobs on them. It requires the correct angles and stoning the hammer hooks to the right spec. Too much and you have a ruined trigger job.
Your much better off in buying the comp hammer and installing it yourself. That will improve it quite a bit for most people.
Stripping the CZ 75 is not for everybody though. The little springs and parts can be tricky to put back together.
