Maybe some day you will have the good fortune of coming across a pre-1980 CZ75. Make sure your hands are clean though.
The original owner of the above gun unfortunately had some custom work done to it. The most obvious is the
Bomar rib, added because there were no adjustable sights offered for the gun. If he had left it alone the gun would be
worth a lot several millions at least) more since it is one of the early "short rail" guns. But with the
trigger work and the custom barrel its a fantastic shooter.
The paint would chip off and the gun looked like crap.
In the 80s they farmed out the frame production to a company in Spain to cut costs. I believe this is when they started painting their guns as well.
