Just stumbled across this beauty while lookin' at the VZ58. Just wondering what they are like as a rifle? CZ seems to have a pretty good rep. I am interested in getting a .308 precision rig and most people seem to have Rem700's. I'm wondering if the CZ is worth the extra dollaridoos.

How much are they going for in Kanada? Who carries them?
 
they're around 2200 from what i've seen...check out gunsnthings. From what I've read around the forums, a remington 700 + quality stock + match grade barrel + bedding/truing the action will be around the same price and give you a much better rifle than the CZ 750...but I'll let the pro's convince you :D

K, I like hearing from the pros :D

Amphibious has a really sweet Rem700 sniper type unit and I think he only paid $1000 or $1200....
 
I've had one for 10 months a good shooter, 10 shot magazine, control feed, and I like the stock better than the Remington police tactical I have, but thats personal fit. Either rifle will do the job. One other concern is availability US now has export restrictions on Tactical rifles making some harder to get where as CZ is European and at least locally seem more available.
