Thinking of upgrading from my CZ-75B 9mm to a Sig 226 9mm I know there is a price difference... and my CZ has been great.... but I have always wanted a SIG. Just want some thoughts from others....

You need a bigger paw for the Sig. Havent owned one but have fired one - its a little bigger than my 75B.

Thats all I got to say about that...

If money is not a factor go for it. I had the 225 as service issue ,and own the 75 pre b, I like the fit in hand of the 75 better than the sig. They are both great, you can see more work went into the sig though.

Having owned and fired both Sig 226 and CZ 75s, I have to say that both pistols are pretty close accuracy wise with the Sig's grouping maybe about 1/2" tighter at 25m (to be honest, someone else might have entirely different results).

The Sig has superb sights, better trigger than the CZ and its fit and finish is first rate. Look at it as trading up from a Honda to an Acura.

I just like the CZ over the Sig because it fits my medium sized hand better.

The higher bore axis of the Sig tends to give it a little more flip than the Cz. As previously mentioned the 226 has a pretty beefy grip as well. I have owned and really liked both the CZ-75b and the p226. They are both accurate and reliable pistols.

I own a Sig P226 and shot many CZ's. Both are fine guns, in fact I was going to purchase a CZ 85 Combat as my first gun, but I found a slightly used P226 for around the same price and jumped on it as I too always wanted a Sig. I have no regets over buying the Sig and will get a CZ eventually.

I was waiting recently to purchase a CZ SP-01 Tactical, but found a used H&K USP Custom Sport and bought it as I also wanted a H&K. Someday I will get a CZ

PS. If you can afford it why not keep the CZ and get the Sig. I now have 2 9mm's and will probably get a third, unless they put out the CZ SP-01 Tactical in .357 Sig.

With such well-established guns as the CZ-75 and Sig P226, I don't really think there is a real "upgrade" between guns. Granted, the P226 has a better finish and more accuracy potential, but much of that is subjective upon the shooter.

I personally love my Sig P226, but I also regret selling my CZ-75. If possible, I reccomend just continuing to save until you can afford the P226 without trading in your CZ-75.

It is really a question of feel in your hand. I wanted a sig 226 until I picked it up. Just could not get a comfortable grip.
Had the opportunity to try CZ85B (ambi version of CZ75B) and the new generatoin SP01. Really liked the SP01- heavier bull barrel, night sights, rail. Pretty good bang for your buck.

Keep the CZ, you may not like the SIG, even if you do like it, two are better than one.:)

I don't buy to trade, I buy to keep. and keep adding... and adding... for some reason I have this need to own every calibre of handgun now. "I might be a gun nut"

I prefer the Sig, not a huge fan of CZ (although I like the new sp-01 model) but both gun fit my hand great...

if you really like your CZ try to keep it ; one 9mm is not enough :)

I find that a Sig or Sig clone in my case is easier to rack the slide than a CZ. I also prefer the decocker set up to the safety. The CZ does give the ability to shoot SA on the first shot from the holster though.
