CZ 75B trigger question

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I have a new CZ75B. In single action mode, with the hammer fully cocked, when I squeeze the trigger very slowly it'll allow me to pull the trigger all the way back but doesn't release the hammer. When I squeeze it with a little bit of a jerk, it'll fire no problem.

As well, when I release the trigger to what sounds like the trigger reset point (there's a loud click) and squeeze it again, it won't fire (same as above). In both cases, the hammer does move a little bit back like its going to release but seems to get hung up on what looks like the sear (at least that's what it looks like from the parts picture in my manual). I can get it to fire by releasing the trigger all the way and trying again.

I'm just wondering whether this will smooth out with use or whether I should start looking for a gunsmith. The pistol has about 300 rounds through it at this point.

Any thoughts?

Something sounds wrong. I'd have it looked at. My CZ (an older pre B) had a great trigger, broke at about 3 pounds every time.

Trigun,

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. I also sent an e-mail to CZ USA but haven't heard anything yet. It's my first handgun and I wasn't sure what to expect with the trigger.

I thought you guys might find the response I got from CZ USA interesting. I've posted it below. I've since put about 600 rounds through the CZ and the problem is still there so I took it back to the shop where I bought it and they're going to have their local gunsmith take a look at it. If they can't fix it, they said they'll figure out how I can the warranty work done on it.

It sounds like a case of long double action and is covered under warranty.
If you want to send your pistol in for service, call or e-mail back with the
serial number and a daytime phone. I will send shipping instructions.
