I recently upgraded my Shadow 1 to a Vortex Defender CCW 6 MOA. Outerimpact mount from DT Sports. Mounts tight, and shoots good. This same Shadow 1 used to have a Sig Romeo 1, with a CZ 75 Sig Romeo Mount, shoots good then. This same Sig Romeo 1 and mount is now on my CZ 85 Combat. With a laser boresighter, I cannot bring down the Romeo 1 dot to align with the RDS. Horizontal alignment is good, but the vertical alignment is maxed to the lowest adjustment. I replaced the mount with an Outerimpact from DT Sports, it improved by an inch or 2 compared to the Sig Romeo 1 mount. But still shoots 2-4 inches low with the adjustment maxed. Replacing the RDS is my last option. Any recommendation on how to address this low POI? Anyone shooting a CZ 85 Combat or CZ 75 with RDS?

I am also thinking of raising the back of the mount by adding an aluminum or copper shim just behind the mounting screws so the RDS tilts down.

Any idea where I ca get a 1 degree delrin shim? I tried loosening the optic, inserted a folded sheet from a pop can. Voila, the vertical alignment allowed more clicks. I still have extra clicks down compared to the previous setting. Not sure if the aluminum shim will hold up to vibration. Any idea who might have a delrin shim similar to this? I am willing to give this a try.

That is what I did on my 1911, with a burris plate and a vortex, I used a bit of pop can, and it centered the dot in the in the sight.
There is no pressure on the shim. that plate had a little screw in the front that would raise the front , but that was the wrong way for mine.

Had a chance to go to the range last night. 3 folds pop can shim, it worked. POA and POI dead on. My only concern is this shim might eventually go loose. Until I find a delrin shim, which will provide a slight compression between the mount and the RDS, I might try adding a thin coat of silicone sealant between the folds of the shim and outside. This will allow extra hold between the surfaces.

Case Closed!

Just got back to this after a few days and remembered that the pop can was too thin, but was better, so I had used a bit of a plastic tub from yogurt or margarine lid.
That was dead on and I used that for a year or so. and it would stay in better then hard steel, thou if you found the right thickness for your gun, a touch of paint or glue would hold it. fingernail polish works good and easy to remove.
