Well, I have been waiting 2 weeks for it to stop snowing/raining in general crappy weather. Today was the day.

1st 5 rounds at 25 yards - I was thinking to myself where the hell is it hitting. 5 overlapping holes withing 3/4". Well what the heck this was standing! Although they were grouped 3" to the left.

1st 5 rounds at 50 yards - sat down for this one. 5 rounds in a 2" circle. 2" left and 4" high

1st 5 rounds at 75 yards - sitting with elbows on counter. 5 rounds in 2.5" circle. 1" left and 6" high.

1st 5 rounds at 90 yards - sitting with elbows on counter. (thought it was 100 yards but some guy came along with a range finder and burst my bubble and told me it was 90) - 5 rounds in 2.5" circle. 3" left and 6" high. I was paying very close attention to trigger pull.

I am very impressed with this gun for being right out of the box with iron sites and using surplus ammo. Once I have this dialed in for windage and elevation I would have no trouble hunting with this gun (of course with proper ammo).

My dad taught me to shoot when I was fairly young. Some of those good habits will stick with you through the decades . But for the past couple of years I had gotten into hand guns. I found what I have the most trouble with is trigger pull and I have to put a lot of effort into thinking about it to make sure it is correct when shooting at longer distances. It is amazing how a little bit of sideways force on a trigger will mess up your shot.

A buddy of mine picked up a CZ-858 about a year ago and talked me into getting one. I shot his and did not do as well but there again it was all standing and shooting quickly. Today was all about hitting what I was aiming at. Next trip will be how quickly can I hit the 6" circle.

I was looking for a fun rifle for shooting at the range with the potential of hunting if I decided too. Could not have asked for a better choice in gun.:)

I got mine last week and haven't tried it yet. Don't really like the look. My best buddy came by today and he got totally ecstatic when he saw her. Guess I have to adjust my taste and I love the reviews. Keep it coming guys!

if you want it to look better do what i did and go to wolverine they have all kinds ob black plastic furniture to make it look more tacticool. I spent about 200 bucks and got a stock front handguards and pistol grip. then you can mount a cheap red dot and have some fun. I don't know how to post picks yet or I would, but there are several pic threads.
