CZ-858-2 and scope accuracy ...MOA?

Hi guys,

I know most of you guys shoots open sight with the riffle.

But I am curious to know what the riffle is able to group from a rest a 100 yards with a scope.

Briefly, I am searching for it's MOA (rougly at 100 yards) without the human error...

Hey man, get on it! I came up with the AK stock, some body elese came up with the truck bed liner stuff, Dlask made a extended mag release, time to pull your weight!:D
 
Just waiting for parts - scope and side rail...went with a Russian POSP style.


I'm sure shipping from Belarus will be lightening fast....

We are working on a no gunsmithing mount for the VZ 58 and CZ 858 as
I type.

Don't be in a big rush guys, it takes time to design and set up for cncing parts like this.

What type of mount is on the drawing board ?
 
This may sound a bit "off" but as I understand it the big problem is that the side of the receiver is too thin to drill and tap without "issues", if that's the major stumbling block has anyone tried using automotive panel adhesive? The stuff is used in preference to welds by a lot of car makers since it's easier to use, safer and STRONGER than the steel around it.It may help solve the problem, and should be far stronger than necessary to hold a scope on.

I have considered this myself and can't see any reason why it should not work just fine. I think that if a plate is made to fit the recess of the action and stuck in place, and the rail is welded to this beforehand it should be a perfect job

The thin reciever is not really a problem as the rail can be tapped and threaded and screwed on from the inside, but I think your method would be simpler process and would be just as good if not better.
 
This rifle seems very popular, but there is no part around. I think there is an opportunity for good business here.

Choice of furnitures, scope mount, railing and barrels would be good.

I wonder how many people owns that rifle in Canada and US.

There is probably a reason why there is close to no parts around.
 
There are some vz-58s in the US but their REALLY pricey and rare.

On a side note, I don't want an optic on my CZ enough to permanintly alter the rifle. The open sites are just fine for me.
 
The mount we are working on will use the pin hole that holds the rear of the stock and the pin hole that holds the mag catch and hold open catch.
You should be able to simply punch out those pins and install the bolts from right to left thru the reciever and attach to the mount. Therefore, no gunsmithing and no altering of the rifle. Remember, this will take a bit of time to get it right. Please e mail me ... sstack1@oci.com if you are interested in this mount, the more interest the quicker we can get it done!


As a matter of interest, I shot my 858 in a match on Sunday the 26th of March (Iron sighted) and scored a very respectable score of 148/200, with the top score of that match being 165/200. My 300m group was the most interesting as we fire 5 rounds prone snap and 5 rounds sitting timed at 300m. I got 2x5, 3x4 and 4x3 for a total of 35/50. I zeroed at 100m with a centre of mass hold and just adjusted the sights to 200m and 300m and the thing was right on the money.
Very pleased, ammo by the way was Czec ball dated 71.

What pin hole that holds the rear of the stock :confused:
