I was looking for my first rifle and I was looking at West Rifle and they have a CZ 858-2 and they say it's non-restricted. Is this legit?:stfun00b: I know the VZ-58 is restricted but I just want to make sure:stfun00b::stfun00b::stfun00b::stfun00b:

Since no one has explained it yet, the difference between the -2 and -4 models is that the -2 has a 19" barrel and the -4 a 16" barrel. Canadian law says that any semi-auto centerfire rifle or shotgun with a barrel less than 470mm (18.50") is classified as a restricted. With a 19" barrel, the -2 is good to go everywhere that non-restricteds can and is a lot of fun to shoot when you get there.

My vote goes to the CZ

- It's one of the least politically correct firearm out there ::evil:.
- They are fun to shoot
- The are relatively cheap to feed
- They are plenty of options to personalize them, if you wish to

And best of all... girls dig them!

It comes down to barrel length VZ 58 are 16 inchs ie restricted the CZ 858 comes in 18.5 inches (non restricted) and 16 restricted... now does 2.5 inchs of barrel really make much diffrence no but for class it does.
