SO!.
I have my CZ-858-2, and I also have had a POSP lying around for some time.
I'd like to attach the mount that came with the POSP onto the CZ,
I've held it up against it, and haven't figured out what the best place is to attach it.

is there a 'standard' spot, on the side of the CZ receiver that I should mount the plate to?

it's this type, in case anyone needs a visual reference

Also, once i know the spot, can someone recommend a gunsmith to do the mounting? epps maybe?

thanks for any hints!

The reason I did my mount that way is....

1. I did not want to drill the receiver.
2. Where I wanted to mount the scope for proper eye relief, the receiver is stepped and you cant mount the mount there.

They are easy to build. all you need is 3/4 inch flat stock steel and a metal stock "cap". Drill the flat stock where the front hand guard pin goes and thread to the screw you are using. Line the cap up on the receiver and mark. You need someone to weld the cap in place and when that's done you place the finished piece on the receiver. This is the tricky part. You need the scope and mount. Line it up by bore sighting and eye relief then mark where the mount sits. (you need 3 hands for this.) After that I drilled and tapped the mount and the bracket and put it all together. The whole thing took me a day, after piddling around and ruining the first mount.

that sounds fairly straightforward,

except, the metal stock cap, I'm not sure what that is.
is it a part I can find easily? (i know what it is in your picture, what I mean is, I wouldn't know where to get one)
