CZ 858 Availability

Hi guys,

Looking forward to buy a brand new CZ 858. I was just wondering if there is still merchant that are still selling 858?? If any of you know a store that sells by the internet would be great to know. I would prefer wood stock availability by the way. :p

Hello 40-5.

The CZ858s are not being imported anymore due to some legal shananigans.

The alternatives are the CSA vz58s and soon the Century Arms vz58s.

Kelly's Sporting Goods often carries stock of the CSAs, and the Century Arms will be on the shelves of many dealers.
 
OST,West Rifle & S&J Hardware are a few that comes to mind. Looks like there will be several others as well but we wont know until they announce or put it on their website.
 
Been doing a fair bit of reading on the the CAI vz2008... Seems earlier production had a bad rap, but the newer ones are good-to-go. Pre Sandy Hook they were cheap down South ($399!!!), but now they are $899 if you can find them... Not sure why, as there are a ton of AK down there (and cheaper!).

Anyway, good that Trigger is bringing them in and retailers picking them up...

The Vz58 model is a more accurate rifle. It may not have the same "legendary" factor as the AK, but thats not always what money buys.

You are asking a question in which an answer doesn't exist yet... as we don't know. There are a lot of threads like this one with no real answers if you would like to search for them.

All we know for sure is that the importer, Wolverine had 2 shipments seized at the border. Wolverine announced they will no longer be importing CZ858 rifles. They have announced a Wolverine/CZ project rifle "CZ958" for the Canadian market. No details have been released. Century Arms VZ58's are said to be arriving shortly as well.

Good luck to the OP in finding a rifle that fits his needs.
