I was wondering if some of you guys could post some of you pictures of your bores, if it's not too much trouble. Mine looks a bit funky and I need something to compare it to.

what exactly looks funky? I thought something was messed with mine only to realize it was just the hole drilled in about halfway down for the gas port and it made the rifling look like it was screwed up but nothing to be allarmed about. other than that it should be shiny like chrome with no bits of anyhting in it and maybe some slight residue from oil that you should have in there at all times in between shooting.
 
What he said. If its got fuzzy stuff growing outwards from the bore it is probably rust. If after cleaning there is rough looking deposits in the bore it is probably copper fouling.
 
Sorry I would add my pictures but it seems I misplaced my bore light.

If I look into the end of the barrel it is smooth and shiny. If I look through the receiver, between the riflings it looks a bit course. I have used barnes CR-10 a couple times but its still there. I have only put 200 rounds through the rifle in six months and I clean it after every use and periodically it gets a random cleaning.

Thanks for all the input. I'll spend some time in the cleaning threads.
