CZ 858 broken case problem...SOLVED hehehe

K so as some of you have been following this little dilema of a fellow member having a case stuck in the chamber of his toy with the head ripped off...well its fixed. I got ahold of this person 2 weeks ago and told him I could probably fix it...So he ended sending me out the receiver for me to have a look at.I received it last friday and started to clean up the case so I could really see waht I was working with..

Couple of years back I did this for Grizzaxxemann as he had a case stuck in a sks with the same problem and I got that one out for him with no problems...

so here we are...

here is the little pain in the ass after it was so nicefully drove out of the chamber

If you look hard you can see the tap marks on the case after I took the tap out of it after driving it out of the chamber

An last but not least...why the case was stuck in there

The rusting looks bad but its just slight and easily cleaned up...so now all I have to do is clean and polish the chamber,do the same for the bore and send it back to the owner....

What do you think of those broken case extractors ice? Have you ever given one a shot?

That is one UGLY chamber. I too now have a overwhelming desire to go oil my guns.

ahhhh....look at the rust it's going to be boild water, windex and oil in that order after firing corrosive from now on.

NOOOOOOOO No OILLLLL....here is why as I explained to the owner 2 nite...Oil is not a preservative but merely a lubricant...Oil in itself will attract moisture...think of a car engine block 30 years old and seized solid...thats what oil gets ya...The thing ran for 100,000 miles but is seized tight from the rust and oil...so what did the oil do....NOTHING...

Grab some G96 and use that instead...its incredible stuff...take your prized rifle,spray a little on a piece of paper towel and rub the barrel for about 2 minutes,even though you thought it was rust free the paper towel will turn brown from the rust coming off it...and no u wont hurt the blueing one bit but merely clean it up...

This was merely another Ice project that worked out just fine...if it helps out at least one person then great...so now can I go back to my home planet and play with my photon torpedoes???
