CZ 858 Carrier help!

Hi Guys,

I need someone's search help, or memory help here. There was a thread about a CZ858 where the carrier had two markings/grooves on either side about halfway across it (thread had pics too). I remember this thread because I hadn't fired my CZ yet and specifically checked it to make sure mine did not have this problem. Well, I took it out to the range for the first time recently, and cleaned it etc, only to notice it is now developing these wear marks. I can't find the thread to determine what the problem was but I believe I recall people saying take it back to the dealer, or something. I would take a picture, but I recently shipped it off to get tabbed, but was hoping to get some resolution to this issue before putting it back together.

Can anyone recall this thread I am referring to, or have an idea of what the problem may be? I have been searching every possibly combination I can think of to see if I can find it, but no luck. I am going to see if I can find a pic of a carrier that I can use to do some paint magic on. :)

Thanks Lobster and tetra, that is exactly the thread I was talking about! man I searched for hours for that stupid thing. My search fu needs more work apparently! Ok, so that is not exactly my issue, as I have the same small marks on my carrier and NOT the receiver. What does everyone make of these things? My receiver is perfect with no corresponding marks, and only the carrier has these same marks. I only shot a couple hundred rounds out of it, if anything. I didn't notice any negative impact while shooting. Should I even be concerned? I don't think I would have even brought this up if I didn't see the other thread!
 
Hard to say if you should be concerned or not without seeing a pic. But if you sent it to who I think you did to get it tabbed I'd just ask him. He tabbed mine and done an awesome job!! He'd probably know better than most.
These rifles are built like a tank. I highly doubt it's anything too serious. Might just be getting broke in/smoothed out. Unless it was a factory defect they missed or something. But I'm NO gunsmith so.....

It's only the cz858's that arent tabbed. I'm not home or I'd take a close up of mine. I found this pic on google. It's the piece that is circled.

You guys just made my job a whole lot easier, thanks for posting those pics.

Essentially, I have the same markings as shown on the linked thread above, on my carrier, shown in the locations circled, on the inner edge on both sides, not the outer one.

Hopefully this explains a little better. I bet it is being sent to who you think it is, and I have asked them about it. I will also direct them to this thread so they can get an idea of what I am asking.
