CZ-858 fiber optic sights

NEA stopped making them because of the quality of available tritium vials. Tritium is a pain to import from the US and there are not a lot of companies making tritium vials internationally. In the end the quality wasn't up to snuff and they dropped the supplier. I have one on my gun and it's sh!t the bed on me. I'll likely bore it out and slam in a piece of fiber.
Told you to talk to Metropol when you were in Isreali Dave. The transportation and regulations between our country and Isreali is way better than the USA now days.

Thanks for clearing that up DMcFaul, not trying to put NEA down just that the tritium sights really seemed to suck for the CZ/VZ.
Hope they can do them up better if they so decide to cuz i need a couple full sets of them.

I think that the usefulness of tritium sights is undeniable if you do low light or no light shooting, and even for the dreaded "Home Defense" topic. But manufacturing Tritium sights is labor intensive between imports, testing, QC, assembly, etc. NEA has been streamlining their accessory product line for the last 8 months or so. It's likely that a lot of their old products will not come back.

If someone else makes one, I'd be all over it. I've contemplated filling my front sight post hole and retapping it 8X36 for an AR sight post.

Not having both in hand ATM, I wonder if the AR post would end up being a little too high? Its a great idea though, maybe peen the threads to keep it in place?
