I need your help. I can't decide whether to get a fixed or folding stock CZ 858. I know fixed would mean better accuracy and more comfort, and folding means it looks cooler but isn't as accurate, but looks more bad@$$.

So the result of this poll will decide which one I will get.

You can't beat the compactness and versatility of the folding stock, there are ways to improve it, but i just love folding stocks. And yeah it sure is bad ass.

I just bought one yesterday that was brand new, never been fired by a fellow who bought one several months ago, but just has'nt had the chance to shoot it. Anyways, I bought it off him, and it came with a fixed wood stock, and the military folder also. Best of both worlds.

BTW, you can get the factory folder for about $30-$40 off of EE, so just get both also.

I like them both. Of the two, I prefer the fixed.

My favourite stock setup is the NEA non-railed M4 adaptor with a Magpul CTR stock

mirror ninja has nothing to do with it, ive used both and unless you are dainty the folding stock is just as comfortable and doesnt hurt at all. The compactness is great, and with the AR being north america's rifle, i say if you can have a carbine that folds do it just because the AR cant.

I'm still on the fence on this one.

The ability to adjust your stock is a significant advantage. I have the Roach Tactical multi-mount M4 adapter but....well....on paper it seems like a good idea.

I like the look of the new NEA one.

The DLASK one looks little larger but is offered in two comb heights and it allows one to use M4 sling plates which would be very beneficial.

I like folders, but they are super slow to get into action and near useless to shoot folded unless you have the fun switch.

The only folding stock that I have tried that is super fast to extend is the one one the B&T TP9.

Another folding stock that everyone forgets about was the DLASK under folder. I like it because when extended it has a longer length of pull and when folded is probably the most unobtrusive folder available for the 58. You don't even know it's there until you need it.

EDIT: Already got a PM about the under folder....:D
AFAIK DLASK doesn't make them any more. Apparently less than 50 were ever produced. So if you have or can find one hang onto it. Here's a pic just to make the pain of not being able to buy them that much worse (stolen off another thread)..

I say fixed, but then I like the "out of the box" stock looks of the CZ858.

I haven't changed anything on mine...

...I actually like the red "chipboard" composite furniture and gray paint.

The only thing I added was the large muzzle brake.

This thread has been no help! Each post I read I keep changing my mind as to which one I want to get!:p

I have decided, those of you saying both are correct. I'll get a folder first and then get the fixed after. Thanks for the great suggestion! :D

I would buy a fixed stock. Its easier to buy a complete folding stock than fixed.Wolverine sells folders for 45 if I recall.Either one is great but I like the folder.I have a Soviet AKS Drop bag that works great.Dave

Oooooo!
Imagine a AR15 side folder made just for the 858!
I think I would G:

do you want form or fucntion? The folder is practical (compact) and it can be made to be as comfortable as the fixed. Buy the factory folder then buy a fixed stock for $20 as someone here mentioned. Folders are are always easier to sell.
