This may have been mentioned before in a FAQ thread, although I haven't seen this anywhere else, so I'd like to throw it out there.
Once you have initially gotten the stock screw loose you don't have to tighten it quite as much as it comes factory shipped. Still, you will be able to reach and adjust the screw with the bayonet!
I've been fiddling with mine today and found it catches quite easily, although I did sharpen my edge a tad.
