I have the sight tool, just wondering how to swap the front sight. Does it unscrew and the other will screw back in? Thanks.

Yup, there will be a notch in the end of your tool used to turn the FSP counter-clockwise until it comes out, you may need to expand the new post by tapping a flathead screwdriver into the slot to keep it tight in the threads. If you can, measure how deep the factory FSP sits in the base so you can screw the new one in to the same height.

Thanks, will try this...

Not very tight, might move when shooting, will put in some locktite after setting it up on the range. If there is ample light (lighting from my flashlight for this pic) this should be highly visible. You can see my Sansui AU-7900 in the back... sounds great.

Do they make these fiber optic sights for the Mosin Nagant, SVT-40 and SKS?

It's not tight because you need to spread the slot, like the factory post you took out.

Use a flat bladed screwdriver to spread it by setting the blade in the slot and give it a smack with a hammer.

Tried it, afraid to hit it with a hammer, it's just a plastic piece, won't it break?

If it worries you, take it to the range sight it in and then back it out a few turns (remember how many) put some blue loctite on it, screw back to its original position and let the loctite set up. My screw was metal and I did it like Stevo suggested.Only issue I have with it is it is to thick (big) for far out shooting 150 to what ever, it covers the target to much for me.

After putting Loctite inside, is it possible to get the sight out, if at a later date I want to upgrade or go back to the original?

Yep no problem, blue is removable but if your worried about the blue you can buy purple which is for small fasteners. Or just put a little bit of heat on the front sight base (hair dryer etc,I use a heat gun from Crappy Tire)

No need to worry about loctite, just tap a screwdriver through the slot. Have a look at your factory post and notice how bulged out it is in the middle. Replicate that on the new one and your good to go. They can stretch alot before you do damage

Almost sounds like I should heat up the sight's slot section with a hair dryer, then stretch it out like the original, with a flat screwdriver. Would that work? It really is a stiff plastic.

If that is an NEA fibre optic front sight, it's metal, not plastic.

Expand the slot with a screwdriver and a hammer.

Okay - my fibre optic sights arrived from Zahal - awesome, but the front plastic insert was broken... No biggy... Just need to know the diameter of the insert.... Anyone?????

And where to buy it wold be greatly appreciated.
