Yup, there will be a notch in the end of your tool used to turn the FSP counter-clockwise until it comes out, you may need to expand the new post by tapping a flathead screwdriver into the slot to keep it tight in the threads. If you can, measure how deep the factory FSP sits in the base so you can screw the new one in to the same height.
It's not tight because you need to spread the slot, like the factory post you took out.
Use a flat bladed screwdriver to spread it by setting the blade in the slot and give it a smack with a hammer.
If it worries you, take it to the range sight it in and then back it out a few turns (remember how many) put some blue loctite on it, screw back to its original position and let the loctite set up. My screw was metal and I did it like Stevo suggested.Only issue I have with it is it is to thick (big) for far out shooting 150 to what ever, it covers the target to much for me.
No need to worry about loctite, just tap a screwdriver through the slot. Have a look at your factory post and notice how bulged out it is in the middle. Replicate that on the new one and your good to go. They can stretch alot before you do damage
Almost sounds like I should heat up the sight's slot section with a hair dryer, then stretch it out like the original, with a flat screwdriver. Would that work? It really is a stiff plastic.
