I have a CZ 858 which Ive put about 800 rds through, its very accurate and has never jammed.Ive read about the "CZ 858 Gremlin"which is when the striker follows the bolt forward and doesnt ####.Ive noticed that with my CZ that about 1 in 10 rounds, when fired off a bench rest, this will happen. Its never happened when Ive fired the rifle prone, sitting etc.I cant figure out why this should be but perhaps its to do with the way the rifle recoils and the vibrations that are set up when fired off a bench rest, and causes the striker to miss engaging the sear.As I said, its never happened when I dont shoot the rifle off the bench, and as I dont consider my 858 as a bench rest rifle,it doesnt bother me too much, but Im interested if this has been the experience of anyone else and why this should only happen under these circumstances?

ya got the dreaded gremlin , either call the dealer you bot it from or contact wolverine, hopefully they send you a kit instead of having you to send the whole rifle to them to replace one tiny part.

im up to 600 and no sign yet but i have taken precaution, i polish my ramp and lightly greased the top of the disconnect to reduce wear.

I had the same problem. I supposed that it was because that from the bench I was pulling the trigger slower and bit by bit. I called Wolverine Supplies about this. They asked me to send back the bolt carrier only to check the specs and they sent me a another one to put in the rifle. My next step is to put on my snowshoes and go to the closed shooting range to shoot it from the bench. Even though I purchased the rifle from TSE, Wolverine being the importer, they took care of it.

You'll find that if you pull the trigger quickly all the time it will never happen. I observed this when my CZ had this problem. Took a parts kit to fix mine.
