Some come tabbed from the factory.

Just got one (non rest. model) and put 150 rounds through it Saturday. No problem with mine AT ALL. Well, unless you count the mags always being empty after 5 shots...

The bolt doesn't have the tab added to it either. It doesn't seem to be broken, so I won't fix it.

I was going to ask this question myself, as I want an 858. I realy wonder when I hear of any out of the box problems, and hate to buy products that have them. I can see a problem hapening, but just can not get my head around a lingering problem, that is not fixed. I still want one but only if the problem is fixed at the source.

I was wondering if i would have any problems with my new 858 but after going through over a hundred rounds first time out I can see that it's pretty reliable. Considering I was using non-corrosive military ammo, the sights are kind of blocky, and the trigger pull about 8 pounds it shoots surprisingly accurately. Lot's of fun!!! No Regrets!!!
