Hi, How do I get the Handgaurd off of the cz 858? I have a Fab defense handguard I want to put on but cant figure out a good way to remove it without bending the tabs and possibly breaking it? Anyone know ?

Also , did anyone find out want color of paint matches the grey receiver?
 
If you want the entire upper handguard off, it's nothing: just pull out the pin on the front right side of the sight block and pivot the handguard up and forward off.

For the lower handguard, take a punch and chase the pin at the rear. Pull down on the handguard; it's a very tight fit sometimes but it will come off. Just watch the little metal reinforcement piece that will fall off the handguard.

So In order to take the upper handgaurd off I have to mangle the tabs ? Also can I reuse the pin holding the lower handgaurd and will it still be tight?

Just an idea... could you not use a strong wire then wrap both tabs (connecting them to each other) essentially squeezing both sides and using the wire to "lock" both tabs in this squeezed position? That way one could remove the furniture without breaking off a tab.

It's just an idea... hate to break things.

I have both upper pieces, the one with the bent tabs and the other with the removable clip (guess which one I will use for my new furniture). ;)
