As it is shipped sealed in plastic and drenched in more oil than Paulina Porizkova on a Sports Illustrated shoot, what did you do when you got it?

Full strip, dunk in solvent and then re-lube as per instructions?

Full strip and dunk in soapy water, re-lube?

Wipe it with a towel, run a bore snake and go to the range?

I just cleaned it up with a towel with some hoppes #9.Wiped down all parts and then i put oil where it needed.

i did the later, i used an old clean T-shirt to wipe excess off, in particular the moving parts , ran a brush thru the bore and headed for the range, it took me only 30 min.

not like the SKS which took me 2hr.

im very happy with the CZ . :dancingbanana:

Just clean it up the way you would normally clean a gun after shooting corrosive ammo.

1. Wipe of the excess oil on the components and in the barrel.
2. Use your favourite solvent (or brake cleaner) and give the whole rifle a good once over.
3. Oil the working bits liberally.

done.

I also wanted to add, definitely make sure you clean the bolt, carrier and striker pin with some sort of solvent (again, or brake cleaner). If those bits aren't properly cleaned and oiled the frearm may not cycle in semi-automatic fashion, and the spent brass will either stove-pipe or just barely crap out of the action.
