Good day all, I have a buddy who recently bought a Cz right out of the box and for the first 300 rounds he didn't have any problems. Now it'll jam with every round and when we look at the shell casing there is metal ripped from the bottom of the shell. any help appreciated as I am stumped. There doesn't seem to be any burr's either.

First thing for sure would be to strip it down and clean it up really well and then look for any irregularities or imperfections anywhere. I know its not much info but maybe it will lead to a discovery or more info as to why for you guys. Also what kind of ammo are you using and was it the same ammo as the first 300 rounds?

Let me tell the full story. He fired 300 rounds when he first got it. Not a problem cycling rounds. He was using brass casings. Since he started having problems he ordered a new breech block and it worked fine for a few hundred rounds and is now jamming again. The ejector tears a piece of metal off the base of the cartridge with brass. Would using a steel cartridge make a difference ?

Usually when the extractor is tearing the rim off its because the bolt is unlocking before chamber pressure has dropped enough for the casing to release from the chamber. This can be caused by a number of issues but being that the rifle is new it may be a mix of softer (than steel) brass in a rough chamber in a rifle designed for use with lacquered steel cased ammunition. Try that then post back. If the problem persists then there may be other issues but they are best dealt with via warranty.

Did you ever shoot the surplus laquered ammo? I clean my chamber with a larger brass brush to remove the laquer as this will cause the following rounds to stick. Laquer thinner would work as well.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS

I can almost say 100% this is the issue. Look in the chamber with a flashlight. If it has a green or orange tint to it you have laquer build up. It should look shinny silver.
