From the Desk of Mr. Wolverine

Following is my appeal to the RCMP SFSS regarding their decision to prohibit the last shipment of CZ 858 Tactical – 2P rifles. I have included my list of supporting Annexes which accompanied my appeal, but not included them in full here, apart from Annex B which was the Directive from Minister Blaney to Commissioner Paulson RCMP. I believe this Directive was a direct result of a meeting I obtained with the Minister, it took me two years to obtain that meeting, the Liberals wasted no time in ‘canceling” Minister Blaney’s Directive.

Right now I am exploring all my options. Let me again stress that any customer who still has a payment with us can request an immediate cash refund. Sorry for the inconvenience to everyone , it certainly was not intended.

So he failed to respond to the most crucial part of your argument: that the prohibited "Spartan" uses the same controlled part as the non-restricted and restricted CZ-858 Tactical-2P and that all the other uncontrolled parts are irrelevant.

The RCMP report does not appear to be at the professional level one would expect from an official organization, it is more akin to a high school level debate.

Good for you for fightin back.
I know you are protecting your bottom line but it also bolsters the conviction of the entire shooting sports community when someone fights the system like this...
Thank you.

The RCMP lost all credibility years ago. They are mad dogs who got off their chain and refuse to come back and comply.

Murray Smith is the guy who was spearheading SKS ban and ban for all other "easily converted to auto" firearms.

Here is a quote from his report on the state of current firearms market "The materials required for improvised full automatic fire are ordinary everyday products".

Also rumors are he is behind the whole "magazine capacity" issue with 10/22, Beowulf and lar-15. He doesn't like pinned mags too, as "they are easily convertable to full capacity". Another quote from the same report.

So yea, good luck getting any unbiased treatment from him.

There's no reference to any CZ 858 Spartan (or any other gun called a Spartan) on Calibre's website. 100% guaranteed. I'm guessing Smith just sort of guessed at who'd mentioned it... goes so to show he did no homework though. Go search "spartan" on the Calibre website.

But I think we're missing the point... if the marketing lingo is the biggest factor in classification, does this mean that if an AK is marketed/advertised as a Valmet, it's a Valmet? Because damn, that'd be one hell of a precedent to set.

Or, more importantly, would people who bought the "Canadian Maple Leaf" edition CZ-858 now be in possession of a prohibited firearm?

This clearly shows how they have completely abandoned the spirit of the law in order to pander to their Liberal bias' and masters. No wonder the Arms East RPD is still ongoing despite a BAFTA report stating the rifles are good to go.
