If we are getting vz/cz's with lengthened barrels, I wonder if anyone would consider ordering ones with shorter barrel's that could be imported as pistols, thus enabling the cz guys to have 10 round 'pistol' magazines? They sell AK 'pistols' in the states... mind you I think you need aviator goggles and doubled up ear protection to use one:redface:

I still think the black rifle guys should have an annual party for Questar for getting that pistol mag issue identified.
 
Hey, that is a friggen awesome idea...I wish I thought of it :D Now to get it done...It looks really wicked in the picture, so I can smell a "but-it-looks-scary" ban coming up from the Libs and NDPs...
 
I guess it comes down to what would it cost? If the company that makes the rifles was willing to do it I guess it would be cheaper than having an aftermarket mod make the new parts and pull the gun apart then put it back together again.
 
Its not so much about looking scary, as having someone either modify some and re register them as pistols, or have them produced and imported as pistols, so that they could also produce a recognized pistol magazine. Then people could put their legal 'pistol magazines' into what ever hole they choose, as is the case with the AR based .223 pistols and the legal 10 round magazines that come with them. I think the key is importing them as pistols...but wadooiknow? Sure its a slow upstream fight to get 10 rounders, but it would be worth it in the end.

Some USA 58s use a 10 shot single stack magazine. That could do the trick, but a manufacturer in the CR would have to establish this as a pistol model. It could be done. It could not use the standard military magazine, or cutdowns.

---oh, so thats how it is done, the whole mag is produced for a 'pistol' right off the bat...mmm. All the mags Ive got work fine, but have all been used even though they were in a sealed bag from CZ-USA. So someone would need to start producing new 10 round mags. ...therinliesaproblem.:(
