Hey Guys Im nobody and I have a "Friend" who recently acquired.... Legally bran spankin new and nice CZ 858 !!!! I have heard the rumors on there not being imported into the country while the RCMP investigates them, but Ive also heard that they were going prohib ???

WELL LISTEN to this!!! My local gun club has notified my "friend" that this firearm is now prohibited in Canada ???" As of Monday ??? Can anyone verify this please ?

Nahhh your friend is smoking the good stuff I think! Haha that or his gun club knows things nobody else does! I can't find anything of the sort on the Internet except rumors new and as old as 2009
 
Ya the person at the gun club is on Crank because I just contacted them again ......im all good. Whew !!! two dropps of pee came out I just got this baby brand spankin new yesterday !
 
Was the cz 858 brand spakin new ? Because that makes a huge difference. If you add to this that its nice, you have the whole package.
 
Okay...

There are Prohib 858's out there (full auto versions).

There are also the converted auto-versions that many, many Canadian legally own as non-restricted and restricted rifles.

The big problem was a gun dealer received a shipment of 'non-restricted' rifles, but discovered they were actually 'full auto'. This is where things came into question. I have been told that there is no investigation into the CZ858 at the moment, but there is one for the Swiss Arms rifle.

I saw one for sale only two weeks ago with a drugonov sniper scope attached to it for $1200. Interesting but the scope was in poor shape with a ####e reticle.

I to am sick of the stupid rumors, and would think none of them hold any water... Except for one of them, which apparently is fact: as of June of this year, the frt#s for CZ 858 tactical 2p and v- which like has been said- is what most Canadians have. Are listed as PROHiBiTED for being converted autos. Now weather or not they are actualy getting official reclassification or not, the fact is that when joe blow cop that is suspicious at the range and doesn't know much, gets curious and decides to look up your gun and sees prohibited on the frt, he/she will confinscate your gun, correct?

Has anyone checked the frt this month? Is this still what is being shown? Tactical 2- ok, tactical 2p, 2v 4p not good?
 
I had a brand spanking new Cz one time then we took it out to the range and I turned my 13 year old and a couple of his buddies loose on it, now it is used and only like new . Used is NR, brand spanking new is prohib at least that is what the latest CZ858 rumours seem to suggest .CZ's become prohib at least once or twice a week on CGN! Thanks for keeping the forum fresh and exciting.
 
Look guys i have all the info you do. As in I did alot of reasearch into whats happening with the CZ 858 at this time.....Spoken to some RCMP buddies who have made calls and told me that its fine to own one Restricted/non restricted. But when i have a person who works in the firearms indestry Say "you cant have that here cause its is prohib as of monday Nov 18/2013" I get concerned and ask you guys ???
Even if this topic has been beaten to death on the forums!
