CZ 858 Question:

Swaped out my beechwood furniture for the beaver barf, the lower handguard spacer that was on my wood set is too small for the resin lower hadgaurd.... it fits snug without the spacer. Is this a problem? Will not having a spacer put undo wear on the lower handgaurd?

when I swaped mine, I have to fit wood stock with file and sandpaper...but I was able to put spacer.
But personnaly, I don't think it's a problem if it fit nice without spacer.

Some of the beaver barf require the spacers and others do not. I have both. I could not explain it myself and could not find the reasoning for the difference.

you dont need the spacer if it doesn't fit in place.
there is many different styles for vz58 parts. new and old. i believe the spacer is for the old design hand guard. it all depends on the parts you have.

this covers some of the changes in designs. unfortunately most of the pictures are not showing anymore.

The two 858s I owned both didn't have it.

some are made to be used with a spacer, others are not.
i was also surprised to find out that some receivers are milled in different ways than others.
i think over the years they were trying to cut back on some production steps that were not necessary.
