CZ 858 - swapping parts and measuring headspace

I was told by the service guy for CSA that it can be problematic/dangerous to swap parts between these rifles.
I have several parts kits and two rifles. My question is: When swapping parts what specifically should one look for and measure? I know there is something called "headspace" but I have no idea how to check that.
If anyone can help or point me in the right direction that would be really appreciated.

if you have a cz858 i dont think you will have any problems swapping parts with military vz58 NOS parts. i have changed all my parts with no issues.
i think you could run into trouble swapping out parts on a CSA vz58 because its not a military made rifle.

keep in mind this is only my experience, and opinion. but i have miss matched parts many times.
