CZ-858 w/scout scope and EOtech or cobra sight??

...Considering purchasing a Kobra sight for my 858 with scout scope mount, but seems to me the reticle would sit way forward and at quite a distance from my eye. Wondering if someone else has used this setup and if not a Kobra than even an EOtech. If someone is using either sight on a scout scope on thier VZ-58 or CZ-858 please post some pics for me and give your opinion and or experiences with this setup.

P.S. I have seen the picture of the EOtech on the VZ-58 on Wolverines website already!! ;)

I have the scout scope mount with my eotec on the Cz858

keeping a zero is hard. Do to the fact it has to come off with each cleaning

To be honest I hate it I am going to buy the new hand rail for the 858 and see if that fits better or just go back to iron sights

Wow the exact opposite for me. With the scout scope mount it stays zero all the time. 4 screws and its off. The Kobra dot is the tank of red dots. You can put it under water and it will work. but the trade off is its big and heavy. Still its one of the front runners for my CZ. I'll make my decision soon. If I order one I'll give you a review. Another option is the OKO. but I am not sure if it will stand up to the elements like the Kobra.
 
Yeah my scout mount holds zero after every time i clean my gun.Just follow the right procedure to reinstall and no problem.The scout mount is the way to go IMHO.
 
...thks. for the feedback guys. I currently have the scout scope with a Bushnell trophy red-dot and as long as I follow proper sequence of tightening 4 bolts on mount I never lose zero when cleaning. The reason I ask if anyone has a Kobra mounted on the scout mount is I am concerned about eye-relief. It would appear to me that the sight window is way smaller than 30mm, I have looked everywhere for info on its size and came up with only LxWxH specs. It mounts with the sight window AHEAD of the body instead of before it like the EOtech... making the sight even farther from your eye :eek: .So basically without being able to hold one in my hand or see it in person as mail order is only availability I'm wary to just buy it. I will go with the EOtech as a last resort as the price is somewhat high for me. In a nutshell I'm worried that my Kobra or EOtech would sit wayyyy to far forward on this rifle to be useful. Those with experience plz. chime in!!!.
