CZ 858 with chrome lined barrel?

Greetings,

Called Mil Arm today because I thought I saw a VZ 58L on there website. They didn't have one in stock. They said that they have the CZ 858 in stock, I said I wasn't interested because it didn't have a chrome lined barrel. They said that there CZ 858's have chrome lined barrels. I didn't think that the 858 came with them. Does anyone have any info on this?

I think you're right. I assumed that because I was originally looking for a VZ 58L (non restricted) w/ Chrome barrel, that when he said that their 858's had chrome lined barrels I was thinking he was referring to the non restricted ones. I'm going to call back and double check.

I believe there was an order Marstar had a year or so again with non restricted 858's with chrome lined bores.
They're not common, most are non chromed.

The chrome is nice when you're dealing with corrosive ammo...much easier to clean too.
 
The CZ858-2 does not have a chrome lined barrel, all other models do.
Don't hold your hand over your ass to find a non-restricted CZH-2003 (VZ-58L) in stores though. You'll have better luck in the EE.

Easy way to find out before you buy. Just call Wolverine and ask them if any of the new shipment of 858-2 have chrome bores or not. I'd be surprised if they told you yes. It would have been mentioned here by now if it was true.
 
Just got off the phone with John from Wolverine (very nice fellow), The 858-2 does not come chrome lined never has never will. The 858 4v is chrome lined. Marstar had some VZ 58L with a chrome lined barrel non restricted but they are no longer available.
