I just put a wood stock set on mine, I like a more natural look for this rifle:

very nice.

most czech real wood have stain applied to them , i started this project several months ago and i just finished it .

1. remove varnish and stain with circa 1850 .
2. palm sanded .
3. applied by brush minwax stain & poly (honey pine) , about 3 coats (lightly sand in between).
4. spray fast dry minwax poly about 5 times (steel wool in bewteen).

MATT, did you have your rifle Duracoated or something similar, it looks blacker and less glossy than most.

i must agree , that wood looks very nice! Id think that direction looks better then the tacticool look
