I just got one of these for christmas, and while I was cleaning it out I noticed a brown color on the cleaning swab, almost a rusty brown....has anyone else noticed this with there CZ-858? I was just wondering if maybe its just some kind of grease or something they use to preserve the barrel.
Also I noticed that when my sight is Zeroed in, the front sight is all the way on the left side, does not look normal to me, but just wanted to know if anyone else noticed these things on there rifles.

I noticed my sight is off a bit to the left too, but it seems to shoot ok.
I also got the rusty brown oil from the bore, I swabed the hell out of it it seems to be fine now.

That's the packing grease. It's a mofo to get all out, drop by Ukranian Tire tomorrow and pick up a can of brake cleaner and some latex gloves (wear the gloves when you are using the brake cleaner, it's really nasty on skin).

The sight adjustment, if it is the same as my VZ58 (it should be) uses the same sight pusher to align it as an SKS. someone around should be able to lend you one if it is a little out of whack. My VZ wasn't even on the paper when I took it out the first time, I had to cover the entire 25 yard backstop with newspaper to track down where it was printing. It's really accurate, once it was zeroed.
