A friend of mine is getting his Pal/Rpal and he really wants one of these. Ive noticed that this model is a semi auto verison only. Are these leal in canada ? What do they usually sell for ive never seen one.

Cheers, McLean

They are made in .380, 9x18 and 9X19 as well. They pop up in the EE every now and then. Pretty overpriced for what they are.

never seen one pop up for sale in 9mm, just .380

man if i could get one in 9mm i would for sure, it being in .380 is why i havent bothered yet, wouldnt shoot it enough

I was in New Zealand for their IPSC and 3 Gun nationals a couple of weeks ago and the CZ importer had brought out two CZ sponsored Czech Grand Masters as well as a factory representative selling assorted shirts, hats etc. One of the shirts was for the CZ Skorpion EVOIII and the guy from the factory could only quote estimated retail prices for Canada of all places lol.

He reckoned the civilian semi auto 9mm version with pinned 10 round mags would retail for ~$CA3000 mid way through next year.

Here in Australia these would technically fall into the hand gun category but Customs are a law unto themselves and declare military style firearms prohibited imports. If it looks too scary its banned :bsFlag:

$3000 for any Skorpion is far beyond ridiculous. For that price they should be full auto and legal... I had the chance to shoot one on a few occasions. They are sloppy machines and nothing special. I'd think twice about buying one for $800...

holy! 3k for the evo 3? i have seen the pictures and stuff of them and wanted one, but 3k? ill pass

got bored, found that it looks like only the full auto was 9mm, but that does make me think, i bet you could either have the barrel rechambered or just have a new barrel put into a semi auto one to 9mm

I have a CZ91S and quite enjoy it. I think they go in the $1200 range. I picked mine up at an auction years ago for quite a bit less. As far as I know, the ones brought to Canada were all .380. Mine is unbelievably accurate, which surprised the heck out of me. So sometimes when I'm feeling naughty, I use it at bullseye matches instead of my Walther GSP. You should see some of the guys howl and say "What's that, an Uzi? That's illegal!".

It's fun for what it is, but here's my beef with it: To anyone reasonable, it is a "Handgun". It's a semi-only version of a machine-pistol. Yet the RCMP are calling it a "Commercial Version" (Which isn't even a real definition under the Criminal code or firearms act) and thus supposedly the magazines can only have 5rnd capacity. The flip-side though, is since it's not designated a "handgun", you can theoretically get them in .32 ACP.

Again, in a pot-stirring mood, I tried to enter a "Military rifle shoot" with it, and the organizer howled about how it wasn't allowed and the CFO range approval would be yanked if I used it. So if HE deemed it a pistol, I then went over to the "Military pistol" competition portion and won that. (Two years in a row.)

It's a fine example of how f-ed up the Canadian regulations are. We go through the fiasco of the .22 copies of MP5's and Swiss rifles are prohibited as variants. Yet this one is totally okay.

Anyway, my more than 2 cents worth as an owner.
