I got to handle one recently and was quite impressed, wasn't nearly as large as some people make it out to be, the grip was quite comfortable (comparable to 92FS but longer) I liked it a lot and the price was good too... Definitely the best looking CZ ever! I also heard it very accurate.

Too bad it only comes in .45ACP :( I'd get one in a heart beat if there was a 10mm model...

Who here has one, how do you like it?

I must be crazy to even be thinking about a .45... :eek: :D

I was able to handle one out this way as well, I loved the feel. They were asking 875.00 I think, but for my first pistol it might be a little much.

The 97B, like most CZ products, are well built, reliable and combat accurate.
It is one of the guns that I have owned, and sold/traded...THREE times!
Everytime I get rid of it, I seem to miss it enough to locate and aquire another!:rolleyes:
If you're thinking of getting one...do so..I've probably owned it previously!;)

here's a pic;

Well I've played with one, fit and finish was excellent. Yes it's a little large comparable to the 1911, basically a CZ75 on steroids. Never got to shoot it though... GF doesn't want me shooting her gun til she fires it first. It's sitting next to my SP-01 until we get home.

Owned mine now for almost three years and I would say that after having shot well over 2 thousand rounds with minimal cleaning (a drop of oil from time to time) and not one single failure of any kind along with accuarcy that is right up there with my old Colt Gold Cup 1911 that I am more than pleased with mine! It is a bit of a hand full for SOME people but as long as you don't have girlie hands it will serve you well for competetion or plain old target shooting,plinking,or what ever. If it fits your mitt and you like accurate 45's go ahead .... buy one and enjoy. Mike

reliability issues ???

Hi All !

Contrary to what is posted above , the 97B is very well regarded as far as reliability and safety is concerned . I have yet to experience a failure with mine , its got over 8K and is one of my favourite pistol to shoot still .

The only "issue" I had was it does not like the big "Hornady" 230 Gr Hollowpoint flying ashtray , but its not a carry gun and military ball is what I shoot anyway . I've fed it almost anything and never had FTF and the accuracy right out of the box is amazing , lots of gun for the price .

My next purchase will be the SP-01 as I find that it has same ergonomics as its big brother . It feels good in the hand and points naturally , sights are good . On my Cz 97B , my only "mod" was adapting a set of Cz 75 finger groove Hogue grips , had to soak them in boiling water to be able to strech them to fit , but once on , it was the only thing missing ... hehehe

If you get a chance to try one , beware , because after , you'll be buying one ... :D hahaha
