CZ Alpha 7.62x39 $799.00-Online Now

The Alpha is modernized to have a nicer bolt throw that does not make it hard to mount a scope with low rings and has a nice flush double stack magazine. Likely easier to find spare mags down the road as well if needed.

If you really like to shoot wood stocks and iron sights, don't want or need a scope, then you can look for and pay more for a used 527.

The set trigger is neat, but the trigger on the Alpha is nice and easily adjustable for weight.

Years ago I was buying a rifle from a guy and he also offered me a 527 for around $600 but I declined, latter I regreted that decision, even more when the asking prices for used 527's went way over $1000. This was before the 600's came out. I think today if both guns were new in the box infront of me, same price, I would still take the newer model.

Thank you.

I saw some mags on sale abd got 2 for the 527... just in case haha.
I might need to go hump one in person. 527 a friend has was super light and handy...

The Alpha is also quite light and handy specially if you just run a micro red dot...

The 527 is nice rifle with the walnut and blued steel, I'd keep it sleek and run it with out a tall scope... put an NECG or a Skinner Rear peep on it and get rid of the rear sight like this guy did..... :)

527 has more class for sure, The Alpha is more utilitarian, I do regret not buying a 527 for $600 when I had the chance.... if you get a chance at one for a decent price and it looks nice go for it, about the only issue other then the bolt clearance is some had issues with the stock cracking at the rear of the action but that's easy enough to fix.

These are great guns. I have been able to get 1.2” groups at 100 yds with a cheap Busnell Banner scope and cheap ammo. A better scope and some Hornady Black ammo should get you well under an inch at 100 yards. I love the easily adjustable trigger, much nicer than my CZ557 trigger adjustment. The safety seemed weird at first but quickly became second nature for me to use it. This is a good price, but there have been some cheaper deals floating around for them, you have to jump quick to get the really great deals…. I did.
