hey, my uncle gave me this rifle as a birthday present. and I was just wondering if any of you guys know much about these guns or how much its worth. its hard to find details about them. its a cz brno zkk-600 chambered in 30-06. its got a strange trigger that if pushed forward becomes a set trigger. it also has a mauser style action. and its extremely accurate. any help would be really nice. thanks

Nice birthday present! The Brno 600 action is arguably the best of the Mausers. Some don't care for the reversed safety, but I just keep telling myself its like the hammer on a lever gun, #### to fire. The set trigger isn't particularly mysterious, and for those who like set triggers, its in a better position than a double set trigger, where reaching for the front trigger can seem a little unnatural. I personally am not a set trigger fan, so my Brnos have all been equipped with the standard trigger, and its pretty simple to swap one out for the other. These rifles typically run about $700 in standard chamberings.

I love my set trigger on my CZ550. 4 lbs and fairly crisp when unset and 12oz when set and very crisp. Nice option to have when you have a bit more time to set up for your shot. Nice rifle by the way, congrats.

Great gun the old BRNO ZKK series Mauser style bolt actions, these rifles had 2 triggers provided with it, one the set trigger you have on your rifle, and a regular style trigger, tool was also provided in a green pouch.
Some had pop up peep sights, most had barrel banded front swivel, steel rifle sights, internal mounts for scope rings(19mm).
There were 2 types of stocks available , a Bavarian type and another that was between a American style stock with some other bad lines put together, not my favorite :)
Barrels are made of Poldi Steel, very nice barrels!
On the side of the action on the right side will be a proof mark with 2 numbers in front, these will be the last 2 digits are the date code.
Cheers Dale Z!

Not much to add to what's already been said about the ZKK series. I'll just echo that they are high quality and super reliable hunting rifles and collectible to many.

You have an outstanding rifle there and if I were you, I'd keep good care of it and use it well. Congrats on a great birthday gift!

Thanks guys. It's hard to find valuable information about these rifles. I was planning on making it my go to deer rifle. But now it's a definite no brainer. Thanks
