cz canadian edition differences

im looking at 2 cz Canadian editions at a dealer. One is about 1500 with a chrome barrel, and only a front fiber optic sight, and the other is the same but with a stainless barell, and front and rear optic sights at around 1900. Question is, is it worth the extra for the stainless barrel, or am I just as good saving the 400$.

Don't by neither....those are outta this world expensive wolverine will have bnib ones for less than 1000$ to your door....if u can hold off till late Christmas early January

The barrels are not stainless, they are all the same hammer forged barrel, just the finishing and fitting is different. The $1900 should also have flush safeties. Worth every penny.

That depends on your hand size I guess. I have larger (but not really big) hands and I don't find the safety to be a factor at all.

Shadowline includes the flush safeties for much lower price. I definitely prefer the flush safeties: no more accidental safety engagement.

This! I paid $1.150 for the 75 Shadowline last April. To the OP compare a regular Shadow with that $1,900 Canadian Edition then decide if about $900 more is worth it. The grips are a hundred dollar option. The slim safeties are there if you shoot IPSC Production/IDPA SSP where you have to start hammer down. If you intend to use the safeties often they are not near as useful or quick to put on or take off unless you have big hands. You have to decide what you are going to use the pistol for. I have not met many shooters who thought they could out shoot a regular Shadow.
