CZ Canvasback or Yildiz SPZ 20 guage?

Im looking for a nice little Upland gun that I don't have to worry about dinging up but is a solid performer in the field. So far Im thinking the CZ Canvas back and the Yildiz SPZ 20g
I handled the Canvasback and it felt good but am unable to shoulder the Yildiz but hear alot of people really like em.
Of the 2 which would you reccommend? I know CZ makes some great rimfire and ceterfire rifles but have no experience with shotguns. Those Yildiz sure look alot better then the CZ's and are about $100 cheaper???
Look forward to hearing some advice from some seasoned shotgunners

I have shot both. The fit and finish is much better in the Yildiz and the wood is far better too. However, the CZ has a steel receiver while the Yildiz is a lightweight alloy so there is quite a weight difference in the two. CZ does make fine rifles but they don't make their shotguns. Like Yildiz, they are a Turkish gun (Huglu)
I prefer the Yildiz as I like the lightweight and its a really fine looking gun.

IMO both those guns are well suited to the uplands. I agree with H&H that you should expect the Yildiz to come with a nicer piece of wood and to be better finished. Neither of them have sufficient track record to arrive at an informed opinion about how reliable or how durable they will prove to be. I'm not a fan of alloy receivers in general, but I haven't had an opportunity to put an Yildiz through it's paces to form an opinion on the metal. I read someplace that Yildiz uses a 7075 T6 alloy (Zildiz also has a stainless receiver, but I'm not sure it's available on any other than the MX Trap model).

The alloy receivers aren't designed to withstand the pounding of a 1000 rounds a month, but they're more than adequate for the kind of throughput you'd expect from a field gun, and the lighter weight is a blessing on a long uplands march.

As I said on the outset, these are both exceptional value for the price and well suited to upland hunting. I would expect the Yildiz to sport nicer wood and better finished. I would expect the CZ to stand up better over time.

Well I placed my order from Prophet River yesterday and decided on the 12 guage Yildiz O/U. Clay is a real nice guy will definetly do more business with him.
I don't shoot trap or skeet competively and toss the odd clay up with friends. Round count is usually in the hundreds every year not over a thousand in a week like some guys.
When it arrives I'll have to take some pics and give the low done. From what others have said the Yildiz are a great O/U for the price paid.

My hunting buddy just bought a Yildiz 20g, and it is quite nice. My instincts tell me that it will not be one of the guns that gets passed on through generations.... but it is a good serviceable firearm for hunting upland game for sure.

I bought a 12 GA O/U Yildiz shotgun last year and have since been using it occasionally for clay shooting.

I agree with what has been said about finish and value, but I find this gun a bit too light for serious clay shooting.

The thing kicks like a mule!
