For those that own a CZ 452 varmint , and or american, can you state as to which is more accurate. I am looking to build a smaller tack driving version of my precision rifle. I am interested in all opinions as to if there is any appreciable difference in accuracy between the 452 american and 452 varmint. Does the heavier barrel make any difference in group size at varying distances or do you find it boils down to the ammo from the rifle??

I currently run a remington 541 heavy barrel, that unfortunately I cannot find an aftermarket synthetic stock (like a McMillan) for this action. This rifle sets the standards for which all other rimfire rifles I have tried. I have aquired and sold many rimfires that won't even come close to this for accuracy. Granted they have been budget purchases, I really like what I see and hear about the CZ 452s. Wildcat stocks make a pretty cool tactical version that fits CZ actions. I'm just not sure if the heavy barrel will be worth my while over the sporter for accuracy.
