How do I disassemble a CZ75 (preB)?

Any links?

thnx, sc

They all disassemble the same way. At the rear of the slide and frame there are two index lines. Match them up then push out the slide stop. The rest should be self evident.

Don't tell me these are the index lines. I just sent an email 5 minutes ago asking to return the gun because it's damaged.

Yes they are, however that is not a CZ75 either, so I can't comment on stripping it.

haha that's fine, I've been staring at those lines for the past 2 days trying to figure out how someone managed to damage the gun and have the nicks not even line up. I just got irritated and decided to return the gun. Now I feel stupid, although in my defence I didn't get a manual with it.

Thanks

Those lines are the same as on my CZ75.

For those without a manual, I recommend this book that civilized Libraries will have:

The Gun Digest Book of Firearms Assembly/Disassembly: Automatic Pistols (Gun Digest Book of Firearms Assembly/Disassembly) (Paperback)
by J. B. Wood

It shows how to completely strip the TZ-75 clone. This might be needed to smooth the action, etc.

Beyond the proscribed 'field stripping'.. i.e. taking the slide off to allow proper
cleaning of the frame and barrel, it's not recommended that any further disassembly be attempted... unless you want to be sending the classic
" CZ in a bag" that gunsmiths either love (it's going to cost you) or hate (they
can't charge you enough for the aggravation)!:D
PS Love that 'tin man' finish on the unit in the picture!;)

I post for you the link to download the manual:

http://www.cz-usa.com/data/support/Instruction Manuals/Instruction_Manual_CZ_75.pdf

It's technically the same like the CZ75B.

I had my problems as well but decided to find a manual first. As stated before. Never touch the internals close to the hammer! Always check safety first and don't forget to take the mag out before stripping the gun. Don't forget to lower the hammer. If you need a tip how to make the mags of the pre-B 'free fall' contact me. The pre-B is picky with magazines! Use only factory CZ, the ones with the hollow plastic base. You get 10-rounder pretty cheap (15-20 $US) in the US since many change to high-cap. Google for a forum called CZ-classic. Aftermarket don't work. They won't fit. I shoot Win 124gr FMJ.

It's a nice gun. I think one of the best 9mm! Enjoy it.
