Hello, i decided to attempt a trigger job on my shadow yesterday. I used a stone to shape the required edges and put a lighter hammer spring in. I'm very pleased with the results. single action pull about 2.5lbs. Check it out

I was tempted to do that when I had a sp-01 tactical, but shyed away from it just because the number of all the tiny parts that wants to fly away into oblivian...

Good for you for tempting this feat and making the trigger lighter.

Billy, make sure you have 5lbs+ in DA if you wanna compete, and there is no hammer slipping issues.
Also, make sure you don't go over allowed 'deburring' and such as per IPSC Rule Book. Guys on czforum (czfirearms.us now) shoot USPSA and their rule book allows them more freedom in what they can do to the gun, even in Production Div.

Tactical has a few extra little parts and different hammer, with hook on one side only. It's usually not recommended to change angle on sear or angle and hight of hammer hooks with manual tools.

Hi Billy..

I used the same post to get a much better SA trigger pull on my CZ75B. I found that the sear had a terrible angle from the factory, such that when in SA the hammer would move as you tried to pull the trigger (think this is called +ve sear engagement).

I DID change the angle of the sear (as recommended by the DIY post) to give the SA trigger pull a neutral sear engagement (so the hammer does not move at all while pulling the trigger).

I also DID polish the hammer hooks (with 600 grit sand paper) but did not change their angle. The result is a SA trigger very similar to my SA only Tanfoglio Limited Custom.

I did not change the hammer spring on my CZ75B so the DA trigger pull is still a massive 9-10 lbs but the SA trigger is very sweet.
